Pipe Band Contest
Running since 1972, our pipe band contest is highly acclaimed with between sixty and seventy bands attending on average. The contest, for bands grade one to five and novice-juvenile, is supported and regulated by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Lothian and Borders Branch who supply the judges and make up the results.

Solo Piping
Divided into adult and juvenile sections, the solo piping competition is always over subscribed, so enter early to avoid disappointment!

Drum Majors' Contest
Accompanying the pipe band contest is our drum majors' contest. Divided into adult and juvenile sections, it too is regulated by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Lothian and Borders Branch. 2008 saw the addition of a novelty event: throwing the mace over the heavies bar and this proved very popular with the crowd and competitors alike.
